Wow is all I can say! I called Mitchell Electric at 5:15 pm the evening before Thanksgiving, not expecting anyone to... even answer the phone. Not only did they answer the phone, but the man who answered took time to assess my problem and troubleshoot over the phone so he could save me a trip fee. He was able to walk me through some steps that solved the issue - no late night trip on the eve of Thanksgiving needed! From the initial conversation with Darcie I was hooked, her professionalism was outstanding. I hoped that their... estimate would come within our budget, it did. Dallas with his expertise with spotting our needs and listening to concerns during the walk-through was amazing. He took the time to listen and explained to my wife and I each step of the panel update and re-wire through out the house, with some additional updates that we wanted. Joe and Eric was fun to have around. With their knowledge and quick-wit made the upgrade and re-wire more tolerable. They took the time to explain the work as it was being done, and answered any questions that we had. Had them around the house for the duration of 5 days. Miss those guys. Adam came at the end of the job, didn't get to know him that well, but he was just as good to be on the job. We had 2 Ring... doorbells installed, a whole house surge protector, some outlets replaced, a new Cat6 cable run and some miscellaneous work done. The technicians were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and efficient. They explained everything and cleaned up the work areas. I almost hired Mitchell but didn't - and I'm giving them 5 stars anyway. Why, you ask? Because they were so responsive,... helpful, and professional, and the only reason I didn't hire them is I was able to get another electrician in sooner (which enabled my other contractor to install the sheetrock a day earlier). I hope to hire Mitchell in the future because I would love to give them my business. They did not have to be so helpful on such short notice, but they were, and had I not found another electrician who could come even sooner, I would have been exceptionally grateful to Mitchell for their flexibility and care.read more

I drilled into a power line in the wall while trying to re-hang a curtain rod. I called Mitchell Electric. They came... out in two days, were friendly, and cleaned up after themselves.My problem is the pricing. They checked my whole house (which I didn't request) and then told me my BEST option was to pay them $2200 to fix the repair, replace some outlets by my kitchen sink, and install smoke detectors. I was floored. I said "Does anyone actually choose this option?" The cost to fix what I had actually broken was $384. I felt like it was excessive upselling. It makes me question if another company with better pricing policies would have charged me less than $384 for my problem but I needed it fixed to restore power to my living room. I won't call them again. I feel like their pricing is outrageous. I thought I was calling a small family owned company.read more

Not run new ones, replace them. They were only at my place for an hour. Outlets cost maybe $20 a piece and the service call was $70. So I'd really love to know where they came up with an extra $290?? Edit:Here's what they said, $70 for the drive(10 minutes) $200 if something minor is wrong (why I called in the first place) Then labor and parts were $130 extra. (All in one hour mind you)So expect to pay $270+ off the bat with these people, unless you call and nothing is wrong.Edit:They did get back to me right away and go over their pricing in depth. So I will say they were responsive and friendly. However I still find the price to be incredibly high all things considered.read more
